PROCEDURES AND REQUIREMENTS FOR VISA APPLICATION

A. Diplomatic and Service Visas
Diplomatic and service or official visa are issued to an applicant holding diplomatic or service (official) passport to enter Indonesia for the purpose of stationing in his/her mission in Indonesia, international / regional organizations, or attending international / regional conferences and bilateral meetings, or having other business relating to governmental cooperation

Requirements:

1. Valid passport (at least 6 months beyond entry date)
2. Note Verbal (from the applicant’s Foreign Affairs Ministry or Mission);
3. Completed 2 (two) visa application forms and 2 (two) passport sized photographs
4. Fee: gratis

B. Non Immigrant Visas

1. Transit Visa

This type of visa is issued to an applicant for the purpose of continuing trips to other country and return back to the country of origin through Indonesia. Transit visa is valid only for 30 days from the date of issuance and the maximum length of stay of this visa is 14 days and non-extendable except there is unexpected situation occurred

Requirements:

a. Valid passport (at least 6 months beyond entry date)
b. Round trip ticket
c. Completed 2 visa application forms and 2 passport size photographs
d. Proof of having sufficient fund (bank statement)
e. Visa fee: US$ 45,00
f. For applicants who submit their visa application via mail, prepaid self-addressed return     envelope is required.

2. Single Entry Visa (Visit Visa)

This visa is granted to the applicants who are going to visit Indonesia for the purposes of the following activities: government related business, social-culture, tourism, and non-working business activities with the maximum length of stay 60 days. This visa is extendable except for tourists.

To apply visa for government related activities, the requirements are as follows:

a. Valid passport (at least 6 months beyond entry date)
b. Sponsorship/invitation letter from related Indonesian government’s agency
c. Completed 2 visa application forms with 2 passport sized photographs
d. Letter from the applicant’s company or institution
e. Fee: US$ 45,00
f. For applicants who submit their visa application via mail, prepaid

For those who are going to visit Indonesia for pleasures or tour or other activities related directly to tourism industries should meet the following requirements:

a. Valid passport (at least 6 months beyond entry date)
b. Completed 2 visa application forms with 2 passport sized photographs
c. Round trips ticket or its copy or itenerary
d. Green card or Stay Permit or its certified copy (for non US citizens)
e. Proof of financial support during stay in Indonesia (the latest bank statement)
f. Fee: US$ 45,00
g. For applicants who submit their visa application via mail, prepaid self-addressed return     envelope is required.

Visa for Social-Cultural visit is issued to the applicant for the purpose of visiting families and relatives, and for socio-cultural, education and scientific activities. The requirements for applying this visa are as follows:

a. Valid passport (at least 6 months beyond entry date)
b. Completed 2 (two) visa application forms with 2 passport sized photographs
c. Round trips ticket or its copy of itinerary
d. Green card or Stay Permit or its certified copy (for non US citizens)
e. Sponsorship letter from the Indonesian family or relative (for visiting families)
f. Sponsorship letter from the Indonesian counterparts and from the applicant institution or     company (for socio-cultural, education and scientific activities)
g. Proof of financial support
h. Fee: US$ 45,00
i. For applicants who submit their visa application via mail, prepaid self-addressed return     envelope is required.

For those who are going to traveling to Indonesia with the purposes of having a business meeting or talks with Indonesian business partner or his/her company’s branch office in Indonesia, the requirements are as follows

a. Valid passport (6 months beyond the entry date)
b. Completed 2 (two) visa application forms with 2 passport sized photographs
c. Round trips ticket or its copy or itinerary
d. Certified copy of Green Card or Stay Permit (for non US citizens)
e. Letter from his/her company in US and its counterpart in Indonesia stating the purpose of     travel and financial responsibility
f. Fee: US$ 45,00 payable in money order or company check only
j. For applicants who submit their visa application via mail, prepaid self-addressed return     envelope is required.

3. Multiple Entry Visa

Multiple-entry visa is issued to an applicant who frequently makes business trips to Indonesia within 1 (one) year. This multiple-entry visa is also issued to the first applicant provided that there is an approval from Indonesian Immigration Office in Jakarta. Requirements:

a. Valid passport (18 months beyond the entry date)
b. Completed 2 (two) visa application forms with 2 passport sized photographs
c. Round trips ticket or its copy or itinerary
d. Certified copy of Green Card or Stay Permit (for non US citizens)
e. Letter from his/her company in US and its counterpart in Indonesia stating the purpose of     travel and financial responsibility
f. Fee: US$ 100,00 is payable in money order or company check only
g. For applicants who submit their visa application via mail, prepaid self-addressed return     envelope is required

4. Visa on Arrival

Visa on arrival is issued at the Immigration Check Point in Indonesia to US citizen and some other countries’ citizens (See list of countries and territory whose citizens are eligible to take visa on arrival). The maximum length of stay of visa on arrival is 30 days and is not extendable.

Citizens of the following countries and territory are eligible to take Visa on arrival at the ports of entry to Indonesia:

5. Temporary (Limited) Stay Visa

This type of visa is issued by the Consulate upon an approval from Indonesian Immigration Office in Jakarta.

To apply for this type of visa, an applicant has to have a bona fide Indonesian sponsor living in Indonesia. Indonesian sponsor will prepare paper works to be submitted to Indonesian Immigration Office in Indonesia.

If the application is approved, the Immigration office will send an approval letter to the Indonesian Mission located closely to the applicant ‘s residence. Requirements:

a. Valid passport: at least 12 months beyond the entry date for six-month length of stay visa,     18 months beyond the entry date for twelve-month length of stay visa and two and half     years beyond the entry date for up to 2-year length of stay visa.
b. An approval letter from Immigration Office in Jakarta
c. Completed 2 (two) visa application forms with 2 passport sized photographs.
d. Letter from his/her company or institution in US and its counterpart in Indonesia stating the     purpose of travel and financial responsibility
e. Fee is payable in money order or company check only
    US$ 50,00 for six-month length of stay
    US$ 100,00 for 12-month length of stay
    US$ 175,00 for 2-year length of stay

f. For applicants who submit their visa application via mail, prepaid self-addressed return     envelope is required.

Temporary Stay Visa is issued for a single entry. After his/her arrival in Indonesia, the visa holder is required to contact the nearby Immigration Office immediately to apply for a Temporary Stay Card. A Temporary Stay Card holder requires exit-reentry permit anytime he/she’ll leave and re-enter Indonesia.

RE-ENTRY PERMIT

Re-entry permit will be issued by the Consulate provided that there is an approval letter from Indonesian Immigration Office in Jakarta. Other requirements to be fulfilled by the applicants are as follows:

a. Valid passport at least six-month beyond the entry date.
b. Completed 2 (two) visa application forms with 2 passport sized photographs
